Hello everyone. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with my anniversary or the giveaways, but I wanted to share my entry for Kathy's February Postcard Challenge.
I am not a real shabby-chic kind of person, so admittedly this was a challenge for me. I wanted her to be soft and floaty. This was about as close to that as I could get. The image is from Inkadinkado and stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and heat embossed. The rest was done using Distress Inks and a water pen.
After finishing the card I felt that she needed stickles, bling or something. I added one rhinestone and stickled the straps of the luggage and the scarf on her hat. I did have some awesome fibers to use but could not see where I could have put them.
Anyway, this was my entry. I will try her again but with some different techniques. What those will be at the moment, I don't know. Oh, by the way, the corner punch that I used on this card is in one of the future giveaways. I love it!!!
It is lovingly inked.
Until then.
For not being a Shabby Chic kind of person...you did a fantastic job! She is adorable...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Theresa. I will try her again with a softer, more vintage appeal...ribbons, flowers, bows... lol

ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura. I am working on it. I did find another postcard stamp in my collection and stamped two images of it. Hopefully, I can finish and get it posted before the end of Feb.
