Easter this year will be a bit hard for me. It comes the day after my mother's birthday. For those of you new to my blog, my mom passed away in August of 2010 and my emotions are still very raw. I have been filling my time by crafting and learning more than I ever wanted to know about animals--dinosaurs in particular. My son went to see the Circus on Sunday with friends. He said that he wished they would have more entertainment and less animal acts. He said that way they won't have to take them from the wild where they belong. He has such a kind spirit and reminds me so much of my mom.
I sent out the following cards to family and friends for Easter. Written inside was a personal sentiment from me with the MS family Corner punch to give it a bit of pizazz. And a Spring picture of my son and me. I had six more that still needed to be assembled and they missed the photo shoot. One managed to sneak in without a tag.
These cards were a joy to create. Lots of layers and textures. The bunny is from Give a Hoot and the grass from Walk in My Garden. The animal print paper is American Crafts.
Had to incorporate some of my Martha Stewart punches and my Sakura stardust pens. The bunnies are all very sparkly.
Thanks for stopping by and don't be a stranger.
Until then.
What pretty Easter cards! hugs Vee
ReplyDeleteOh Vee, these are just adorable! I sure like the look of the bunnies on the background paper; and the MS punch along the top was the perfect choice :D
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying the Lord will give you the grace you need at this time.
Thank you for all you do
What sweet cards. My 95 year old mother is still alive, but I lost my dad and older brother within 5 days of each other just 2 years ago and still have times when I miss them terribly. God who is our refuge and strength will comfort and guard you in your time of need. God's blessings
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter To You and Zachary.
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful cards you did, they are very special. Jst know that God loves you and your mother is in his arms now and she is happy in her new home, singing and shouting and she is not suffering and free from pain.
I love you and God loves you more. Schuyler (vswaddy620@yahoo.com)
Thank you ladies. Gardener I know how you feel about your dad and brother. My grandmother passed less than three weeks after her daughter, my mom.
ReplyDeleteLadies, thanks for your kind words always.
Hi Veronica.
ReplyDeleteI know how you are feeling as my Mother passed away on Mar 8,2011,and already I can't stop thinking that this year is different,I can't imagine what Mother's Day will be like without her.
I will keep you in my prayers.
Happy Easter
